Terms of Service

These are the rules for using wassup.world. We tried to make them human-readable, but they're still legally binding. By using our service, you agree to these terms.
If you disagree, that's cool — just don't use the service.
The Services
We provide QR code-based digital menus and ordering systems for restaurants and cafés. Three tiers:
- Starter (Free): Menu, ordering, basic analytics. Forever free.
- Pro ($15/mo): Payments, tipping, advanced tools.
- Franchise ($99/mo): Multi-location analytics, unified dashboard.
All tiers include role-based access (diner, waiter, manager, kitchen, owner).
Acceptable Use
Do:
- Use wassup.world to run your restaurant's ordering and payments
- Upload your own menu and branding
- Add your staff and manage their access
- Comply with local food safety and tax laws
Don't:
- Use it for illegal activities (fraud, money laundering)
- Scrape or reverse-engineer our code
- Share your account credentials (use staff accounts)
- Upload copyrighted menus/images you don't own
Payments & Billing
- Free tier: No credit card needed. Really.
- Paid tiers: Billed monthly via Stripe. Cancel anytime. No refunds for partial months.
- Payment processing: Stripe handles all diner payments. We don't store card data.
- Failed payments: We'll email you. After 7 days, we downgrade you to Free tier.
Data Ownership
Your data is yours. We host it, you own it. Export anytime from your dashboard.
We anonymize order data after 90 days for our own analytics (e.g., "average order time" across all restaurants). This can't be traced back to you or your diners.
Termination
You can leave anytime: Cancel in your dashboard. Your data stays exportable for 30 days, then we delete it.
We can suspend you if: You break the rules (fraud, illegal activity). We'll email you first. No refunds for fraudulent use.
If we shut down: We'll give you 60 days notice to export your data. We'll delete everything after that.
Liability
We're a software tool, not a business partner:
- We're not responsible for your sales, revenue, or business decisions
- If the service goes down, we'll fix it fast, but we're not liable for lost revenue
- Our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the last 12 months
- You agree to indemnify us against claims from your diners or staff
Changes to Terms
We'll email you 30 days before any major changes. If you keep using wassup.world after that, you accept the new terms.
